Xinjiang cultural relics exhibition launched at Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum Site Museum

The “Xinjiang Cultural Relics Exhibition” opened on December 30, 2022 at the Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum Site Museum. It showcases 136 pieces (groups) of exhibits from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Museum, including pottery, bronze ware, silk fabrics, gold and silver ware, wood ware and other cultural relics.
The Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum Site Museum has always prioritized hosting exhibitions. Apart from permanent exhibitions such as site pit exhibition and large site exhibition, it has focused on creating temporary exhibitions such as “Regional Culture of Eastern Zhou Dynasty”, “World Ancient Civilization”, “Growth of the Empire” and “Border Cultural Relics”.
This exhibition is an important one of “Border Cultural Relics Series” launched by the museum.
The exhibition lasts for three months and is also available online simultaneously. It displays the distinctive and perse history and culture of ancient Xinjiang. Important historical and cultural ancient cities are showcased such as Beiting, Jiaohe and Gaochang ancient cities, proving that Xinjiang has been an integral part of China since ancient times. The exhibition also employs such multimedia display techniques as video, micro animation, projection and testifies to the fact that the ethnic cultures of Xinjiang are an inseparable part of the Chinese culture.
