Zhonghua Book Company’s Dual Top Ten Books of 2022 competition was held in Beijing recently. This annual competition has been held nine times since 2014.

　　The year 2022 marked the 110th anniversary of the founding of Zhonghua Book Company. The evaluation committee presented two “annual tribute books”, namely Revitalization Library (Volume 1-3) and Stories of Chinese Sages. A total of 44 books were shortlisted from the new books published between December 1, 2021 and November 30, 2022. They are pided into two categories, namely ancient academic books and popular humanities. They represent the latest achievements in publications on traditional cultural advantages after many years of dedicated efforts of the publisher and showcase the distinctive features of the latest trends.

　　This evaluation adheres to the following criteria: the ancient academic books should be written or compiled by professional scholars and reflect the mainstream cultural and publication trends; ancient literature collations should contain high literary value and scholarly collation; academic books should document rigorous research and be highly recognized by the academia.

　　The judges, composed of experts from universities, research institutions, book review media and the publishing industry, selected the best ten books of 2022 in the two categories.
