Deyang Confucius Temple is located at No.133 Wenmiao street, Jingyang District, Deyang City, Sichuan Province. It was first founded in the 2nd year of Kaixi in the Southern Song Dynasty (1206 AD). The temple we see now is the remains of the reconstructed temple in Daoguang period in the Qing Dynasty (1821-1850 AD), covering an area of 20,800 square meters. It is a well preserved, large-scale Confucius Temple with rich local characteristics in Western China. And people often say “Deyang Confucius Temple is the most magnificent building in Sichuan”.
