In 489 B.C.（the 6th year of Aigong，Duke of the state of Lu），Confucius was in the state of Chen.Because of the chaos in Chen，Confucius left for Fuhan（a place in the state of Cu，in the present Xinyang，Henan Province）by way of Cai land.He was stranded between Chen and Cai without any food for seven days.When Confucius finally got to Fuhan，he met Yegong，who asked him how to govern a country.Zhaowang，King of the state of Chu wanted to appoint Confucius to his government，but he failed to do so because of the opposition from Yin Zixi，an official of Chu.
